Trip to Toluca Lake and Hollywood - Highland

My second day in the States! It was fabolous!!
Felicia, Henry's daughter-in-law, called us Thursday night whether it was possible for us to babysit little Vincent, since her babysitter wasn't able to come. So, we did. Vincent is a special boy, who just turned five. He has special needs, he couldn't walk until he was 3,5 yrs old; he hardly speaks; uses signals to make things clear more often. It's an adorable kid, and we had a lot of fun. Felicia lives in Toluca Lake, only rich people live there. Near by, Bob Hope the actor, used to live there in an enormous house. I walked around and there were only big beautiful houses with big big cars. Not many kids play on the streets, not in Toluca Lake neighter in Simi Valley, that's what I noticed. They're all playing in community parks with basketball fields, soccer fields, softbal fields etc.
Strange thing is that even tough the weather is perfect; sun shining all day; little breeze; up to 25 degrees, I see not many people outside. And everyone is driving in cars, no one cycling or walking. I like to walk. I walk around the hills in Simi Valley it's beautiful, I'll show some pictures some other time; I walk around the village, seeing the cute little houses. Or actually they seem little, they only have one floor and are large in length, but you only see the front.

Next, when Felicia arrived home from work 5.30PM, whe took the metro to Hollywood - Highland.There were big stores from GUESS and XXI. After we ate something in a restaurant where every table had a computer in which you could order your drinks and food, and could play games agains each other, individually or against others in the restaurant, we walked to the Chineses theather, the Kodak theather were the Academy Awards are. In the Kodak theather you saw all the movies of each year on the wall Shakespeare in love, Titanic, Silence of the Lambs, Slumdog Millionare. All the way back to the first year of the awards. Then we walked over the Walk of Fame, with all the stars of famous actrices and singers. I took a picutre of Michael Jackson's star (all the time there was this men dressed as Michael Jackson, exactly him, despite the fact he was black) and stars like Steven Spielberg and more. On the road were many people dressed as stars like The Doors, Barny (a animation figure), Scream and Chuckie. Chuckie were right behind me and when I turned around he stab me with his knive, and I screamed loudly. I was so emberrased for screaming, but he scared the hell out of me!! All these figures want you to take a picture of them with you and then will ask you for money, Felicia warned me. Furthermore, there was the new Madame Tussauds museum. There were three stars outside, which you could see and take pictures of. One of them was Snoop Dog, another was Marilyn Monroe and another actor, I don't remember who it was. I took pictures though, they seemed so real. It was a perfect day, exhausting too! Starting to realize I'm truly here in the States!!
